Working on Some Old stuff

I know, I've been totally MIA. I've been so caught up with school and home life. Both of which are very important to me. Lately though, I've been feeling creative-less.. is that a word? It's tough to keep things at balance but we always need it. When I'm not editing or taking pictures, I feel full. Like I'm not letting my creative side breathe or it's not getting it's workout in. So weird, I know! Anywho, I decided to go back and work on some of my last images taken. Hope you enjoy, I consider my photos a journal entry for how I'm feeling.

A Birth Story

Welcome baby Destiny <3 This weekend I had the privilege to witness a birth and capture it on camera. This family is very special to us and I'm so grateful they let me be apart of this very intimate moment. I've been wanting to capture a birth through still photograph for a while now. I love babies and photography, so this was just awesome for me to experience. Thanks again, Shelton Family. Many blessings to you <3 Here is a sneak peak

Maternity Beauty

Maternity is such a beautiful period in a woman's life. Expectant mommas should feel beautiful, gorgeous, and attractive. You're all so special, growing life, while tackling everyday life.

I wanted to share with you, a maternity session I had recently with this glowing mom. It really was a pleasure to be able to capture her and her bump. Make-up was done by me and the blue, open-front gown, I provided as well.

This is a new package I will be offering for mommies :) Hope you enjoy.

Xx,
Elaine

Make-up too?!?

Hey guys!
I've been debating lots lately, on whether I should add make-up to my packages. Not really put make up on my packages, as that's impossible, but adding the option of make-up application prior to sessions. Light-medium foundation, some eyeshadow, and you know the rest. I've always had a huge passion for make-up art, actually I got in to photography because of it. Anywho, I'd love to hear your input and whether or not anyone would be interested!

Thanks :)

Q: How do your sessions work? |Photography|

This is a question I get asked pretty regularly. First, I really aim to get to know potential clients. I would like for them to get a feel of who I am and my personality. I want them to be sure I am the right fit for them. That is why I always encourage people to view my portfolio :). Once you're set on booking me, this is a list of things you can expect.

  • Choosing a date that works for you.
  • Picking a location. I like hearing your ideas of what look you want to achieve, so that I can help you choose the best place for the session.
  • Deciding on an outfit for the shoot. I can give you tips and pointers on, how to dress for your session and for the location we will be shooting. I have several blog posts on that.
  • I do send you a checklist on preparing for your session prior to, just with different things to keep in mind for the special day.
One very important thing is keeping the lines of communication open. Let me know if you have any ideas or props you may want to incorporate. In order to have a smooth session, we must work together :). That is the best way I can guarantee photos come out exactly how you expect them to. Thanks for reading guys & I'm looking forward to shooting with you!

Thanks,
Elaine A.
