Turning 2 |Personal|

So, Maddox, you're officially turning two in two weeks and 10 hours to be precise. I obviously know your birthday was approaching, but didn't realize how quickly this second year has gone by. This second year has been filled with just as many ups & downs, as the first one. Gosh, I remember when you were teeny and I had no idea how to stop your screaming and how to breastfeed. This second year I still sometimes don't know how to stop your screaming, but the breastfeeding is pretty much perfect. Can't believe we've made it to 23.5 months of nursing. Maybe you will decide to slow it down a bit :p, but whenever you're ready.

Maddox, you have really changed us. Specifically, from your mama's perspective, you have really, really changed me. You've made me a better trouble shooter, a better thinker, more outspoken, a fighter for things that matter, and an even bigger lover. I've learned to find strength deep down inside of me and lean on to Him most times, as well. I'm so grateful God, brought you to our lives. For a two year old, heck for an adult, you're very opinionated. You do not keep things in and you always let us know when you want something. I'm learning day by day how to meet all of your needs.

Do know that Mommy & Daddy will always be here to support you no matter what. I hope to continue to teach you in the best way possible with God's help. I wanted to start this birthday with a special prayer:

God,
I thank you Lord, for all that you have done and will continue to do. I am grateful for your love and forgiveness. I pray that you always watch over, Maddox. That you also watch over us, his parents. That we may may guide and raise him  in the way You see fit. I pray that he always guards his heart and mind. That he want to always seek you and follow you. I pray that, Maddox, always be patient and slow to anger. May he protect his purity, with all his heart, so he can save it for his future wife. I ask that you always pray before you make any big decision and even on a daily basis.

There is a verse I've held very close to my heart this year, Jeremiah 13:5 "If you have raced with men on foot and they have worn you out, how can you compete with horses? If you stumble in safe country, how will you manage in the thickets by the Jordan"? I pray that you always seek growth and approval from He who created you.

In Jesus Name, Amen

Love you very much, Maddox. Know that we will always protect you as your earthly parents.

Senior Session |Photography|

This past weekend, I had the honor of working with a very awesome, down to earth, and beautiful senior. We shot on the White Street Pier, Higgs Beach, and my personal favorite, Key West Garden Club. I've really come to realize how much I love working with seniors. It reminds me of my senior year in high school andhow exciting everything was. Sahara, wishing you all the best and may your future be super bright! You worked it, girl ;)
